who will save your soul?

well, today it was my grandma who was trying to save my soul.

i really think she means well.

really.

sometimes.

it's usually about my physical health,

today it was about my spiritual health.

without getting in too deep, b/c the last thing i'm trying to do is offend...

i will make an honest effort in looking into some things that others are convinced should be a large part of our faith.

so, this week, i will be looking into worship music with and without instruments and form an opinion, a Christ lead opinion i might add, on this matter.

what are your thoughts?

do we worship with music?

or without?

does this pain God to see us worshipping him with instruments in the background?

where can we find this in scripture?

all comments/guidance will be helpful.

i hope to put my findings on here soon.

on a lighter note...

my mom called me today (oh how i love that lady)

to tell me what she got into yesterday.

which was...

screaming for my dad at the top of her lungs in the wal-mart on 411

my mom went in to get some dog food, and dad was parking the car.

dad ended up going in to find her to tell her where he had parked.

otherwise i'm not entirely convinced she still wouldn't be there today looking for him.

she went to check out and dad went back to the car, and was near the door when he heard her yell.

so dad is thinking mom must have fallen or something...

HE'S GOT A GUN!!!

definitely wasn't what he was thinking the problem was.

apparently two men got in a fight, one pulled a knife on the other, which he in return pulled a gun on the knife guy.

mom was about 8 feet away from the gun.

with her dog food.

probably just wanting to pay for it and get the heck out of dodge.

not sure what my dad would have done.

i thought it was sweet she yelled out to him for protection.

never a dull moment where the johnson family is concerned.

that's for sure.
